Historical Futures for Tin Pan Alley. Live project with the Outernet.
celebrated-work
In October 2020, the Outernet asked us to help them connect their venue to the musical heritage of nearby Denmark Street. As a result, our third year Advertising & Branding students worked on a project, called ‘Historical futures for Tin Pan Alley’ which challenged them to develop a creative concept that would demonstrate how the musical heritage of Denmark Street is shaping the Outernet as a cultural destination for the future. The work created was designed to be showcased in the immersive spaces within the venue. During the seven week project they pitched ideas to the senior creative team and created animations, films, interactive experiences and an augmented reality busking station.
The Outernet were blown away with what the students produced and a shortlist were selected to develop their ideas further. Angel Flores, Head of Production, provided this quote, “It was extremely inspiring seeing how much passion and dedication the students put into this (project), and the results were truly stunning. I’m still impressed with the amazing work that they managed to put together in just a few weeks’, (along with) the depth of their understanding of both the Outernet and Denmark Street, and their commitment and professionalism when it came to the pitch and the delivery of their ideas.”
