Alicia Lake

Alicia is a creative and excited designer, specialising in costume and editorial design with a focus on sustainability and ethics.
With a passion for art and the abstract, her work often explores texture and colour, as well as having a key focus on relatability and humour. Her aim as this year has progressed is to create a narrative through her work, a personal connection and to spark a conversation whether in childhood nostalgia or larger topics such as elitisms.

More recently her topic focuses on this elitism, how we see elitisms in art and from school, a way of poking fun at these novelties and nuances. As she progresses she hopes to inspire more conversations, create work that has meaning, and design clothes that are in themselves an art form.

Depicted is an image of my final garment taken from my shoot.

Depicted is a close up of my FMP garment from the final shoot in Trafalgar Square, the aim of this image is to draw attention to the details and how They all feed into my theme of elitism and particularly school novelties.

This drawing is a mixed media collage that I used to inform my topic and theme of Elitism, the colours, textures and details, including the Bullingdon club and their attire all reference my final piece and my narrative.

This edit done in photoshop highlights the colours and bricolage technique seen in my garment and creates an image that could be used for possible campaigns.
