Amalia Estrianna Walrond
Amalia uses the form of spoken word poetry and 3D model making as a tool for therapeutic creative expression. She obtained a scholarship with Accumulate - The Art School for the Homeless and has completed an Access to HE qualification at Ravensbourne University. After challenging beginnings Amalia's resilience, talent and self-motivation have driven her to move into a creative career to improve the lives of others and her own. She succeeds in this through creating art which is both emotive and thought-provoking. She uses immaculate detailing to express the themes of hardship and makes work in order to improve her life and become a better version of herself. A skilled and talented architectural designer Amalia's work has been recognised by AHMM. Amalia uses rap-soul sounds in her poetry and has created spoken word films. Her work has been read live on The BBC Radio London and in and around poetry events in the UK. Amalia is grounded and observant with a passion for buildings and modern architecture, she hopes to improve on her skills for a career in architectural design and 3D model making. Her best works include a model made Egyptian Museum, her fashion photography and her spoken word narrative film: Lava.
