Anaab Ibrahim

Anaab Ibrahim is an ambitious creative, with a wide array of skills ranging from print and digital design to moving image and character design. She focuses her work around social and political problems and deals with them through symbolism and typography in her illustrations and animations. She is quick to adapt to different mediums and often likes mixing digital and physical components together.

Anaab is the co-founder of Pigeonhole Illustrations, an online zine. Pigeonhole is a collection of people’s thoughts and stories on contemporary topics interpreted through an artistic lens. Anaab curates the material submitted, manages the social media platforms as well as creates artwork for the zine.

For her Final Major Project at university, Anaab created a short film based on the Partition of India and Pakistan in 1947. The film comprised of illustrations, moving images and interviews. In the future, she hopes to create a documentary on this subject, as a way to create peace in the region.
