Working in an independent comic shop full of bizarre characters and dystopian worlds from the age of 15, was one of many influences that sparked Belle's passion for supernatural storytelling. Belle, also known as Ataahua (from her Māori heritage), is an enthusiastic photographer and ambitious film maker from London. Prior to her course, she gained professional industry experience working for companies such as Burnt Road Productions and Oxford Films. Using this knowledge she was able to develop and better understand her film making style. The techniques and earthy colours she uses in her work creates an eerie and mystical feel, while keeping a realness and relatability to her subjects and characters.
