Georgia Diakogiannis

Georgia is a hard-working and exuberant creative, specializing in Fashion Promotion. She has flourished throughout her foundation year, developing a determined work ethic despite the global pandemic. During her course she has found a love for styling, fashion photography and creative direction, reflecting these skills in her outcome for her final major project. Working with little resources and overcoming problems throughout her journey she has shown a great level of resilience for her subject. Georgia expresses her love for repurposing and upcycling materials through the use of objects such as cardboard and plastic packaging, to manipulate shapes within her styled pieces. In addition, this tactility was shown through making props, outfits and pages from her zine. Georgia is very passionate about the subject matter of Queer identity within the LGBTQIA+ community, which has been projected throughout her final major project. This outcome looked at disturbing the gender norms and stereotypes within the media and society to empower its audiences and to be authentically represented within a publication.
