Giordano’Jordan’Appiatse(app-P-at-Sea)

Giordano is an avid, curious and determined student specialising in illustration portraiture. It took him around two years to find his own distinctive geometric style of illustration.

Giordano's birth name is Jordan-John E Appiatse. He was born in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The pronunciation of his surname is App-Pee-At-Sea. He is of Ghanaian origin. His surname stems from the Italian word 'piazze' which means town squares, plural for 'piazza'.
Before commencing BA Illustration, Giordano gained one years experience in coding studying Design & Coding and a year of studying Design on a Higher Education to Access Course.

Giordano was the only illustration student who participated in a summer event project in July 2019 which included mural painting at Brighton for the Brighton Pride 2019. His responsibility was to make stencils of typography for the mural decoration.
