Gus Heydon-Corrie

Gus Heydon Corrie is a versatile musician, composer, and vocalist hailing from Brighton.

Gus has always had a keen interest in using music to tell a story, communicate an idea, or create a sense of atmosphere. Taking inspiration from both the current generation and the generations of decades gone by, he isn't afraid to try new things musically and go all-in on learning how to create authentic pastiches or styles, no matter how specific. Be it writing music for characters, or scoring a scene underneath them, he's always interested in how to push the envelope creatively.

His biggest inspiration comes from watching musicals when he was younger and wanting to tell grand, epic stories through music, lyrics and singing. He has experience with Logic Pro X, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Wwise, and Famitracker.

InikittenThis was the first song Gus ever composed for a video game project. Because the game is an athletic game about cats and kittens, Gus made the main theme bouncy and fun.
The GardenThis is an atmospheric piece made with a hacked copy of the usual music software Gus uses for this kind of music. Note that it's only a demo song he did until the head composer becomes available.
EndlessAnother nice atmospheric synth piece, with my own vocals to create an epic feel and landscape with the music.
Let Me KnowA pastiche piece of Motown and the Jackson 5. Simple, catchy and groovy.
Brand New TruthA song from a musical Gus was writing during my final year of university. He took inspiration from classical musical theatre/ragtime and tried to make an unsettlingly optimistic piece.
