Holloway Boys 1983 – Inspired by police incident reports, this typeface along with a series of type specimen posters tells the story of my dad’s experience with racism at the hands of the police in the ’80s. I wanted to build a typeface that emphasises the systematic and repetitive nature of cases where police have leveraged their power through brutality or silence in racist ways.
The Street – Editorial design book project using my own photography and type-setting designs based on a chapter of Georges Perec’s Species of Spaces and other pieces called The Street. My book aimed to highlight the relationship between the visual language of a street and the nature that seeps through, using micro-photography.
Anthropocene Calendar 2021 – In this project, I created an alternate calendar that uses geologic timescales, centred on the theme of the Anthropocene.
Anthropocene Calendar 2021 - Photography – I took photographs and scans of artificial objects to connect my imagery back to sedimentary rocks that help to measure geologic time while also; trying to tell a story about the Anthropocene and the way humans have affected the planet.
Parasocial – My video Parasocial highlights the psychological issues that surround parasocial relationships through symbolic mindscape visuals.
