Natalya is a fashion promotion student that experiments with a large range of skills. These skills include styling, photography and filmmaking. The work that is being showcased is a part of her zine, which focuses on purity culture and its effects on black women. The Zine is called Impure, which highlights the fact that Black women are seen as inherently impure in society. Most of the imagery for this zine has been self-shot, which is how she overcame the challenges of the pandemic as models were not easy to access. In addition to this, this zine mainly uses collaging for its visuals to give a more personal feel to this zine. Natalya includes voices from other black women, in the form of interviews, which can be found on the Impure Zine website.
