Nikita Morar

Nikita focuses on regenerating existing buildings with sustainability in mind. She understands the relationship between a building, people and the environment which are the three key elements to her design approach. Drawing on her experiences, she develops design concepts to tackle both commercial and social issues within the environment. She further enhances her ideas through model making, materiality and sketches to visualise sustainable ideas. Her ideas then translate to creating atmospheric interior moments which are personal to the end-user.

In her Final Major Project ‘Grow, Share and Educate’ provides a community hub consisting of four concepts: a space to grow fruit and vegetables, an open space for the community which can be used as a farmer’s market, an education hub and a meeting space for social activities. All four elements bring the community together to strengthen community ties.
