Rebecca Ah Soo Leen

Rebecca is a South London based illustrator working both traditionally and digitally. She likes learning new things and educating others through her illustrations on topics that are important to her, and to her friends and family. She draws inspiration from personal experience, focussing on feminism, identity, racism and mental health. She finds that it is important to express things visually in a bid to help people understand and accept things easier. She believes that if it educates or helps at least one person, her work has been successful. Rebecca uses Photoshop and Procreate when drawing things digitally. When it comes to traditional illustrations she enjoys using pencils or fine liners the most.

One of her favourite things to witness is when random people relate to her stories or tell their own in her comment section underneath her work on Instagram. Rebecca's aim is to bring people closer together and show them that they are not alone. She continues to support topics and movements that she feels strongly about through illustration. She also believes that art activism can heavily influence people’s views to change things for the better.
