Sophie Richardson

Sophie is a motivated, enthusiastic creative currently studying fashion promotion. She combines photography, styling and 3D software techniques to create narratives within her work. Throughout the year, Sophie has continued to explore emerging techniques being used within the industry to ensure that her work is current, interactive and intriguing for her target customer.

For her final project, Sophie carried out research into her theme of "The Contemporary Emancipation of Feminine Ideals". She has created an entirely digital magazine that explores the way in which women have been liberated from outdated patriarchal restrictions. Having previously been a fashion writer for several online publications, she merges journalism with her image-making techniques to create a cohesive, engaging magazine. Alongside the magazine, due to the popularity of online publications, Sophie designed an app and created an animation to promote her final outcome.

"I want to ensure that my work demonstrates the most current, up-to-date techniques and visual trends found within the industry. As brands are progressively using more 3D modelling and animation to promote their products, I want to further experiment with new software to create cutting edge pieces."
