Faisal Khan

Faisal Khan is a queer Cinematographer working in London. His work is often minimalistic and focuses heavily on enhancing stories instead of relying on empty aesthetic shots.

As an award-winning photographer, Faisal has perfected shot composition that aids and enhances the storytelling. Craving something more than the solitude of photography, Faisal transitioned into Cinematography and began creating moving images with connections to the emotions of the characters and their stories. Often working with minimalist lighting, Faisal works in the realms of moody and dramatic imagery as well as taking a more painterly approach to cinematography with inspiration from old Dutch master painters and French Impressionism. Although both western concepts, being a person of colour, Faisal also takes inspiration from non-western media and art in order to maintain fresh perspectives and stay innovative and unique when lensing projects. Working in short fiction and non-fiction films to feature films, he's an enthusiastic, warm, and organised asset to any project and is wholly dedicated to his craft. He's always growing and constantly learning in order to improve on his already vast foundation of knowledge for cinematography.

Faisal is a 1st Class, with Honours, Graduate in Digital Film Production and prides himself on his innovative thinking and dedication to enhancing directors visions and visual storytelling.
